Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading research charity for dementia. It funds scientific studies to find ways to treat, cure or prevent Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The trust’s patron is Sir Terry Pratchett, the bestselling author of the Discworld series, who announced in 2007 that he has early onset Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer's Society

The Alzheimer's Society works to improve the quality of life of people affected by  dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The society’s 25,000 members include carers, doctors, nurses and people with dementia themselves.
