Stretching directory
Stretching is often recommended before and after exercise in an attempt to reduce muscle soreness, cramps and risk of injury, as well as improve athletic performance. It is thought that regular stretching may reduce your risk of sprains and strains, prevent tendonitis and help joints stay flexible, however, research is yet to prove these benefits conclusively. Common stretches target the calves, hamstrings, lower back and Achilles tendons. It’s most important to stretch gently to avoid pulling a muscle or causing harm.
