A UK wide charity which aims to help with diagnosis, prevention and treatment of this disease. You can search region-by-region for local support groups and ring a helpline to get advice.

Age UK (Age Concern & Help the Aged)

A website with a section containing facts and figures, advice on preventing osteoporosis and information on diagnosis and treatment. You can download a publication all about ‘healthy bones’.

Arthritis Research Campaign (ARC)

ARC has produced a free online booklet setting out to answer a range of questions from what osteoporosis is, to how it can be detected and what treatments are available.
