The term “morning sickness” is misleading. It does often happen in the morning, but it can happen at other times, too. Usually it goes away within12 to 14 weeks. Some women find that eating small, frequent meals helps, as does having a snack (like toast) before they get up. Other tips include getting enough rest and drinking plenty of fluids. It's uncommon, but some women have severe nausea and vomiting that needs to be treated by their GP or in hospital.
