Is it normal to wake up during the night and not be able to go back to sleep?

  • Your Answer:
  • Correct Answer:

Trouble falling asleep, and staying asleep, are the main symptoms of insomnia. Even waking too early in the morning is a sign of insomnia. Most people need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep every night in order to wake up feeling refreshed. However, some people need less sleep. What makes people with insomnia different from people who sleep fewer hours is the quality of their day. If you wake up refreshed and with energy, you are probably getting enough sleep.
