Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Foot File
The Holy Grail of Soft Feet
My quest for soft feet is finally over! I tried this foot file on dry skin (as I couldn't wait for bath time!) and loved it. It literally only took me seconds to get the desired results and even on the highest setting the file was non-abrasive on my feet. It's easy to handle and works well no matter what angle you use it at. Bring on the sunshine, I can't wait to get my feet into sandals now!—NAB13, Boots customer

Dry, rough skin on the soles of your feet can be caused by things like warmer weather in the summer months, or if your shoes rub, especially if you have sensitive skin. Cracked skin should be treated quickly, or the fissures can split further into the deeper skin layers causing pain and burning, especially on the heel.
To prevent dry cracked skin use an exfoliating cream to remove dead skin cells and make the skin soft, followed by a moisturising cream with ingredients like urea, aloe and keratin, to restore the hydration of the skin.

Cracked heels, or heel fissures, are splits in the skin around the heel. When pressure is put onto the heel from our bodyweight while walking and standing, the skin needs to stretch and spread out a little. If the heel cannot stretch because the skin is dry and inflexible, it will split.
For cracked heels try a keratin based treatment. The regular use of a file can also help you get smooth and soft heels.
