Dr Farah Ahmed
Dr Farah Ahmed qualified from Cardiff University and subsequently went on to work in various hospitals in South Wales, the Midlands and London. She currently practices as a GP in West London.
She enjoys all aspects of clinical medicine but has a particular interest in women's health. In addition to her medical degree, she has completed the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists as well as the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health. Dr Ahmed also speaks for BootsWebMD on women's and child health.
She co-authored the book ‘Coping with PMS’ which was featured on ITV’s Loose Women and has also written for various publications including Vogue, Top Sante, Heat and Asiana. In 2009 she was featured as one of the UK’s top 25 female doctors in Good Housekeeping magazine. She makes regular appearances on the BBC Asian Network as a health advisor and social commentator. In 2014 she was awarded the ‘Rising Star Award’ at the English Asian Business Awards for her contribution to health education.
She is passionate about her charitable work and is a global ambassador for Mothers 2 Mothers as well as a friend and proud supporter of HRH British Asian Trust.
In her spare time she enjoys baking and running around after her two sons!
