Terrence Higgins Trust

The Terrence Higgins Trust, a leading HIV/AIDS charity, offers support and information in print, online and by phone, help with access to testing and post exposure treatment, advice about benefits, employment, legal and other issues, treatment advice, contact with support groups, and counselling.

National AIDS Trust

The National AIDS Trust campaigns for effective HIV prevention to help halt the spread of HIV, early diagnosis, access to treatment, care and support for people living with HIV and to remove HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

Body and Soul

Body and Soul supports children, teenagers and families living with or affected by HIV.


The gay men's health charity. Its mission is to improve gay men's lives by increasing the control they have over their own health. GMFA produces websites, a magazine, booklets, postcards, magazine adverts, workshops and other campaigns targeted at specific groups of gay men with a higher HIV prevention need than the general population of gay men.


AVERT is a UK-based international HIV/AIDS charity which works to avert HIV and AIDS worldwide. As well as international advice, it offers UK specific information.


The charity i-base refers to itself as “a treatment activist group”, committed to providing timely HIV treatment information both to HIV positive people and to health care professionals.

Saving Lives

Saving Lives is a charity raising awareness about testing for HIV and other blood-borne viruses or sexually transmitted infections, including the hepatitis B and C viruses.
